No way this will work I can't see it happening. Roof rack or something off the back is your only option I'd guess.

I ride very short shortboards, I used to have a corolla and I would just recline the passenger´s seat back, and fit the surfboard just like a person would if they would sleep in the car with the seat reclined to the back. Is this possible in the recaros of the evo X and Evo IX?

They recline back as much as any other car. If you say you use short surfboards then it shouldn't be a problem

Thanks for the idea, but i dont like racks on a lancer, maybe the removable portable soft racks yes, but they kinda suck because they are hard on the doors rubber weatherstrips, also if it rains water comes in. plus i hate straping expensive boards i rather have them inside the car. So i was thinking like i used to do in my corolla just recline all the way back the passengers seat, or make the rear seats fold down so i can fit the board from the trunk ?

Back seats don't fold down in any Evos

Hi EdisonEYL. I drive an EVO x FQ360 and also ride a CI Weirdo Ripper that is 5' 6". If I am going to surf alone I slide the passenger seat back and recline it as well. It will recline all the way to touch the back passenger seat, but that is not needed with a short board. I place it at about a 45 degree angle and I then use the front passenger seatbelt to secure the board (just as you would a person) and I am good to go.

BTW I also did this exact thing in my 2006JDM Sti.

Hope this helps
