Knocking front suspension
Yea I'm checking them out on my buddies lift tonight. Been raining every night after work here this past week.
I have noticed if I nail the brakes, the front left of the car dives more than the right and it pulls right a little...so sway bar seems very possible.
Will keep everyone posted!

I wanted to update...I looked over the car yesterday while it was on the lift and I checked everything...grabbed every wheel and checked for play, all is tight. Tie rods/ball joints/sway bar end links...bolts that hold the strut, strut mount bolts, the center bolt holding the strut to the mount....pretty much every bolt under the car....I checked.
Nothing was loose, nothing had any play. Everything seems tight, and its still making the noise.
It seems its the strut itself, that is my only conclusion. So, I'll just ride it out til I decide to get coilovers. Haha.
Thanks everyone.

Coilovers FTW lol .. Sounds like a strut from what I have read through here. I used to use some chassis ears and pinpoint noises like this .. struts will look good until you disassemble them then you can usually feel the shaft movement
Perhaps...but everytime I have seen a blown strut it bounces, whereas it feels firm and rebounds quickly then stops any movement.
But I am assuming...either that or the strut cartridge is loose inside the strut housing.

It is the strut for sure. I have a 2013 Mr and mine had the exact symptoms as well as my buddy with a GSR. If you lift the car and push on the top of the wheel it will move. Next put your finger where the struts rod comes out of the body and push the wheel. You will feel the slightest movement. That is the knock sound.
As the parts manager for Daytona Mitsubishi I can tell you Ive seen this a few times.

Man Id love to get on here more, but as the manager of Mitsubishi and KIA I stay to busy. Ive recently built an Evo 8 RS for the owner for the dealership as well as personal cars. I use to build imports for a living in Dallas, building and tuning several cars that were put in magazines ect.....Ive done everything from dealership repair work to performace shops doing full custom built cars. I just had enough turning wrenches and ended up at a dealership. Anytime I can help a fellow tuner I always do. I sell a lot of parts on ebay also. Daytonakiamitsu is our store name.
If you need parts or suggestions on a build ect...I can give you my opinion but that's all irrelevant in the aftermarket world. Everyone has an opinion or different tastes.
Thanks
