EvoX MR - Advice

Hello fellow Evo owners, been looking around through different forums but cant seem to find an answer. Most of these threads are based off GSR I have a 2014 MR. If anyone has a link to a similar thread please be free to share so I can delete the post and not waste anyone's time

I'm planning on getting my car tune for a dual-map tune for e85 with the following mods.

3" Ultimate Racing CBE
AMS Downpipe
AMS UICP (Black)
Works Drop-In Filter
Cobb Turbo Inlet (Black)
3-Port Boost Controller
1000cc Injectors
Fuel Pump

Will stick to stock Catalytic Converter and stock air intake box. Trying to stick to looking as stock as possible due to high ref ticketing around my area.

Would I need to get a tranny cooler? Clutch Packs? And a rough estimate will I be seeing close to 350awhp/350tq? The car would just be used to DD probably see the track once just for experience.

yes you will need clutch packs. e85 you will be making over 350whp on a dyno jet and also should be over 350wtq. on pump gas on a dyno jet you will be seeing numbers around 350. Im not sure about the tranny cooler but I assumed it would be a lot safer and better to get one now before something in that expensive SST breaks!

Mr

The stock clutch can go to 350 wtq anything above that will need clutch packs. It gets really expensive if you want big power from an MR, I've been thinking of doing some upgrades but it's cost prohibitive.Well I have money for it but I'm really not sure it's worth it since I only street my car.

Tell you the truth I'll be happy with 350whp/350tq. I don't have plans for huge power well at least right now. Because people say once you start you can't stop. I'm still a college student so maybe once I get my career job I'll start dropping more cash on it. Just want to play it safe for now with the maximum power I can get out of my MR without problems. And also have a sleeper set up due to Police Deparments around my area. Will you say stick with stock cat or the extra power that a test pipe produces is worth it. Thanks for replying guys.

Sst can be awesome

So I pretty much just finished doing what your goals are. For the sst cooling I did the Evo rs jdm fog delete and added a temperature controlled spal fan (total 99 bucks). Have not tracked it yet to determine if that is enough. Mountain road driving in 90deg heat and driving like a monkey has not induced slow down. So what breaks sst clutch packs (and by break I mean slip into a constant slipping state) is too much torque. If you check out the link below (which itself has a link) I limited torque to around 300 or so at the wheels. Not mentioned is also tuning to prevent boost spikes using OEM ECU (which will induce a big tq spike). Anyhow I am at 375hp to the wheels but feel I am not risking the clutch packs because the torque is never over 315 or so. The power never drops off however. But the big fat torque curve from 3700 rpm all the way to redline is what makes this car unbelievable fun to drive. And my previous car was a c5 z06 ! Which by the way made exactly 375hp on the dyno with a tune and intake. I am running a 200 cell cat by mil.spec on 93 octane. Yes I swapped in a CHRA but that looks stock too, and wasn't much dough. Just make sure you get advise from people who have DONE it versus only read (aka: web-raced).
