Leak issue. New to site, also not a "car guy"

Hi, so firstly I'm happy to have finally joined this site. I look at threads from here all the time but never really took the time to post anything.

I have a 2008 Evo X and I've noticed a leak.

I took it to Atlantic Tire for an oil change and to have them check for the leak. They used UV dye in the oil. Came back a few days later and they checked it out. They said it appeared to be leaking from 4 different places and that the gaskets in those places were bad. I feel like he said "head gasket" but I'm pretty sure thats not an issue because I don't see any symptoms of a blown gasket.

As I mentioned I'm not really a car guy, I'm in IT so I can google the crap out of stuff but I don't even know what half the parts are called...

Anyways I'm pretty sure that this part is the worst of the leaking parts. Could someone explain what it is/how much it should cost to fix/ general info?

A head gasket can fail and leak oil outside of the block instead of into a cylinder or coolant passage, resulting in an oil leak but not any signs of a "failed headgasket". The dye is pretty hard to dispute but the valve cover is far more likely to leak than the headgasket is to fail....

Atlantic Tire? Are they Evo experts? No really, they could be... If not though, I suggest you stop guessing and find a very good shop local to you that can give you a more comprehensive answer.

Thanks for the responses

Hey everyone thanks for the responses. I took it to a local shop they said they think the leak is coming from the transfer case. That'll be some labor but shouldn't be too bad.

As for the CV Joint leaking the mechanic checked all the axles and both front ones are having issues. As I've seen multiple times on this forum it looks like its usually cheaper/better to replace the whole axle vs just doing the boot repair kit thing. Problem is that the dealership wants 800 a piece for the front axles. The Evo guy at the shop thought that was just insane. He told me to start looking online for part outs and what not, I haven't seen anything yet though. If anyone comes across anything could you please let me know? I can't post in the market thing yet.
