Bleh that's not true nobody I've heard of ever had a warranty claim denied for a simple muffler. Now if they went turbo back exhaust with the downpipe that's another story.

Is that the only Mitsu in your area? The dealer I go honors the warranty even with full bolt ons and tune. They even called to ask if I had a tune so they wouldn't over write it with the ECU update.

Also be very careful modifying the FE without getting tuned as it has a factory tune that isn't the safest to run mods against without a proper protune.
So you didn't actually baseline YOUR car at the same time. There is no way you can reasonably claim a 15 hp gain then. Just because other cars baseline different numbers under different conditions.

I didn't claim 15 I said between 10-15 hp. Because a stock EVO won't dyno more than 230 under any condition, unicorn or not. Mine put down 240 stock, with the only change being the intake. So I gave a +/- range which I think is reasonable.

The tuner had no other way to account for the discrepancy in my baseline dyno. They have tuned hundreds of EVO's, so I just took them at their word when I saw the abnormally high baseline.

Also, as mentioned, the gain was noticeable when I put it in without a proper tune. Not like 'fooling myself seat of the pants', but a legit increase in power throughout the band as well as clearing up a stumble I had at the higher RPM band.

I have no reason to claim gains, I really don't care about HP numbers or anything like it. I was only relaying my personal experience, and I trust my tuner, Kozmic Motorsports, to not blow smoke up my ***. They nicknamed their dyno the heart breaker I think for the reason that they try and be as accurate as possible when working on cars.
