shifter rattle

So I've noticed that I have an annoying *** rattling sound when I'm in 5th gear, it only happens when I'm in 5th. 2011 evo gsr btw, completely stock. Could it be the bushings needing to be changed? Any help would be appreciated. It's getting more annoying by the day

Same thing happened to me with i did a short shifter install. Here are some bushing that you want to look at or just replace all together:

gate selector pivot bushing (this one fixed my rattle)

shifter cable bushings

there's also a rubber sleeve that's on the shifter cage. Take a look at that.

Here are some posts on this topic as well:

Hopefully something in this solves your rattle!
