Alignment

So yesterday i went to get an alignment and my evo came out ****ed up...Supposedly they couldnt adjust it cause one of the tabs in the pic below is missing and they told me they cant adjust it without it.So i need advice i was told i can just get one welded on there.Or go through the hassle of having the dealer replace it cause we dont know how that happen. The dealer is already giving me issues cause the car is lowered and my 4wd service light came on and so did the ASC assuming cause of a bad alignment and my steering wheel is crooked. And if the dealer has to replace it its the whole subfram which im assuming is expensive

awww man how did that happen... Yea I would just get some tabs welded on, but I would always be a little nervous about the welds breaking off and sending the car for a spin.

A replacement subframe is likely well over $1k. So hopefully it won't come to that.

It looks like the tab that the cam/adjustment bolt pushes against has been ground/sheared off. I think you should be able to weld on a little tab and paint over it. Shouldn't be too complicated. Not sure how it could have broken in the first place!

Yeah I was told they could work it out.. Sux man go in for a alignment and come out with nothing but problems. The odd part is that's the only tab worn down which is what I told the dealer. Sure it has after market Springs but that are awasn't touched at all.. So for just one tab to be gone is odd and I doubt it happened during the alignment it would've had to be something major

Yea im with you on that one, I doubt the alignment shop did that. You just have a tab welded on and then buy an after market lower arm so the adjustment would be done with the arm instead of the cam bolts. I have the whiteline one myself.
