hey guys im removing the engine for a friend who has an evo x...all i have left is the axles, stub, tcase, and motor mounts...how do the axles come out of tcase and tranny? do i have to tap them with something? i was trying to get the passenger side one out and couldnt get a good angle to tap it...is this how theyre supposed to be removed?

 

Yes you need a pry bar and pop it one time it has a c clip on each axle and the stub shaft

 

where do you pry though? the passenger side theres no space to put anything on there...

 

on the metal housing by the trans/tc...personally I use a small piece of wood so it doesnt damage the housing...you can do it by hand just dont yank on the axle itself or you will pop off the boot
