Whats your opinion on these wheels?

They came with the car and I like them but they were plastidipped. I dont believe in dipping anything, and have never done it. They are FN01RC's, looks like originally black spokes with machines center/lip. And they were dipped black... Because that was totally necessary.

Personally I dont **** with that trash and anything I need redone is painted. Once you look up trying to remove this ****, it just seems like a whole days worth of work. I tried as much as I have the patience for. And I have had FN01RC's before, and I know despite being a RPF1 level wheel, they are worth little, which makes IMO (this is where you chime in) not worth it for refinishing, because there will be extra 'ricerdip surcharge'. Even if blasted, that's extra, and I couldnt even sell these wheels in great condition for $500 if I want to move on, so I dont want to be more into them than that. Like them, think they fit the car well, shame really.

So, would you consider these junk? Other side still in dip. Just dont feel like it.

Recycler bound or no?

They wouldn't be my first choice of wheel on an X but they aren't bad wheels (minus the dip.)

Get a couple cans of Brakleen and let it dwell for a couple seconds. The dip will rub right off with a microfiber.

I hate everything about those wheels. If you live where it snows make those the snow wheels and get something that isn't vomit inducing.

They actually look good in the all back, just a shame it was done in dip.

Wheels I'm considering are Vordroven forme 9 chrome(cr kai rep) or carbyne design chrome (latter looks like a fn01 replica)

Looks like they didn't put enough coats on the wheels to be able to peel it right off.

BTW how big of a PITA are TPMS?

These wheels have them and they work correctly. I have seen a bunch of threads regarding TPMS. Kind of second guessing getting rid of wheels for incase moving them over requires a reset and is some multi-hundred dollar thing.

Info?

Just get them powder coated if you like them. It'll run you 300-400, there won't be an extra charge for plastidip, the Sams blasting they do before powder cost will take it all right off. Plastidip will also come right off if you have a legit pressure washer.
