2014 Evo Mr

I know this is a long shot, but anyone recognize this Evo, came from Texas. It's been sitting at my local Mitsu dealer off and on past month, but it's listed on Mini of St. Louis website. I've just emailed both dealers to get the skinny on this vehicle.

I've looked at it at the dealer lot and it looks pretty clean, except the wind diffuser on top(real carbon fiber, but it's a little rough at some spots). There asking 30k for it with 25k'ish miles on it, which I guess doesn't seem too bad. The one issue that kind of makes me wonder is, that it's failed emissions twice, once in Texas and once in Missouri(current location). So, I'm thinking it's either been modded or it's had engine/exhaust issues?

One way or another, be sure to take the car to a different dealership (preferably a Mitsubishi one) for a full diagnosis before you buy.

I imagine that one is still under fully bumper to bumper warranty unless there are some mods of course. Have it checked out.

Hey I live in the STL also! That seems high for that car as far as price goes. But my X always failed emissions unless I removed the cobb tuner. So it could be some issue as simple as that of course it could be something else also. I thought the dealer couldn't sell it, unless it passed emissions.

Actually the price of evos are a bit higher since they discontinued them. Also the factory warranty doesn't apply outside of 36k and can't be transferred.

No, no they aren't, and yes, yes it can be transferred to all subsequent owners under 36k.

I spoke with the local Mitsubishi And was informed that the 5 year warranty doesn't transfer. Only the 3 year 36k one.

The 5 year powertrain warranty is the same as the new car warranty in that it transfers to all subsequent owners in the given mileage limit.

It blows my mind some people fall for the dumb **** dealerships say. Its even worse that the people who work at dealerships sell cars and make claims that aren't actually true.

Almost any 5 year warranty is transferable and long as you are under the allowed mileage.

A quick 30 second search of Mitsubishi materials is all it takes to know what the facts are.

And yes, most dealers are shady.

My bad bro...don't have to be all hostile. I was only going off what was told to me. It came from 2 different dealers too.

Yah they are incorrect. It transfers, says so in the manual.

IIRC, they did NOT transfer on the CT9A (VIII and IX). It was something new with the X, so they may be thinking of the olden days

$30k for a 2014 with 25k miles isn't bad imo. They are the last version with Recaros and that is still considered low miles. Long as it hasn't been touched, it's not bad imo. I'd hit it
