Anyone know what this is?

Not sure what I'm looking at here. Wiring goes under the kick panel.

Looks like some sort of theft deterrant LED. You have an aftermarket car alarm?

No idea lol. It does go to a shock sensor of some sort, can't find a control box or anything yet.

Yeah, looks like an aftermarket alarm was installed at some point.


It may be worth going to a reputable alarm installer and have them remove the whole system to avoid potential future issues (i.e. alarm won't let the car start).


Or - have them re-activate the alarm and get the insurance cost break. Just ask the insurance company how much discount you get beforehand- so you know how much to spend...

Have an alarm installer check it out. I can't believe that they couldn't find a better way to attach it other than using a self-tapping screw.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. Kind of close to the airbag down there too.

Even tho my buddies old 8 had a little light like that and it light up every time his meth kit turned on...was set to a certain RPM I believe
