So hey OP @Ten Walls... in spite of all the semi-drama and occasional conjecture plus what or what not is a true EvoX, have you decided yet?? Oh btw, if you get a 2015 (new or used) then it's a fake EvoX because of no Recaros or BBS wheels.

I still say hold on to that FoRS... stock for stock, you'll be able to get faster lap times in that RS anyway than what you'd clock in the other 3 competitor cars.

The 2015 MR comes with BBS wheels, just like every year MR since 2008.

The 2015 GSR gets Enkei wheels, just like every year GSR since 2008.

The FE gets Enkei wheels in the USA.

Thanks for the recap. I am aware of that... just being sarcastic because of the FE bashfest.

Actually the last real evo was made in 2001 and you can't get one here in the states.

Lack of recaros in the 2015s was a pretty big let down for me.. but at the end of the day I still preferred something newer over a car with more mileage/potential abuse.

I'll get to changing out the seats eventually but I'm hardly losing any sleep over it in the meantime. Would be a bigger deal if I tracked this car I suppose..

Is there a better recaro option than hunting down OE recaros? Wouldn't mind shelling out a bit more $$ for a superior seat and less hassle.

Well I was implying specifically to the Astro man... since the FE doesn't have the MR's BBS nor pre-15 Recaros that's why I was being sarcastic that MY2015 EvoX's are fake.

You can relace with a number of different seats. Recaro, sparco and i believe bride make car specific seat rails. I opted for the lassics but recaro has some even cheaper options and still retain recline adjustment. Bulletproof auto has a full list.

And I have been following for awhile on Instagram this seller... https://www.instagram.com/used.racingparts/ and also on ebay.

They always have nice sets of various Recaros, Brides, etc. Not cheap but authentic JDM items... mostly seats and wheels.

As a person who had a plan to keep his Evo 100% bone stock I am greatly disappointed we didn't get the BBS and Recaros that Canada got.

But not disappointed enough not to purchase one.

I bet the Canadian FE interior would fetch $2-3K in the US. The FE BBS, maybe a grand. So it is worth importing one? Considering the 2.5% import tax, probably not.

I don't think you'll get a compliance letter from the car/Mitsu because of the seats. Otherwise, we'd be buying them with those Recaros.

Hey, lack of Recaros and Enkeis don't make this car drive any less amazing. I test drove two brand new Xs in 13 and 14 (both GSRs) and picked this one up in March figuring its my last chance to snag one new. The FE does feel noticeably sharper than the other two I test drove, it could be recency bias but the Bilsteins are an excellent compromise between ride quality and performance. I weighed other options (STI-friend has one said don't get it and I am a bit of a Mitsu homer, RS- pretty much ???? at this point, Challenger/Charger Scat pack- brute strength and not much else, 5.0- I will not be the subject of memes and no backseat, Camaro- No back seat but no memes, Golf R- Great ergonomics but a turd at driving and its a golf) As a person who does not care about creature comforts I love he Evos interior. Radio and an A/C, am I crazy for appreciating the simplicity?

If FEs were available when I bought my 2015 GSR I would have bought a FE. If a Ford Focus RS was available, as in on the lot, I would have probably bought that because it's in production.

There will always be better around the corner (well maybe not for permanent AWD...) and I got 0% financing. So I'm happy with the GSR.
