I exported an Evo from the US and imported to Canada a few years ago:

It's a fundamentally rather simple process. You just need the patience of a lawyer to read long instructions and documents, as well as the willingness to bite the bullet for various fees and duties.

Based on my limited understanding, the Canadian RIV is a well-managed and willing department to help you, so your export from Canada should be relatively straight forward (as opposed to exporting a vehicle from the US, where you need a proxy agency with EIN to file AES for you).
You might also need to perform all outstanding recalls and then get a dealer printout showing your Evo has no outstanding recalls to import.
