Grinding noise? clutch? master cylinder? transmission?

So I have a 2013 evo x gsr and everytime I go in first its kinda tricky (wierd) to start going , and specially up hills its very hard to get going and it makes some sort of grinding noise. also with reverse, its hard to get on reverse it would start making the grinding noise and I can kind of feel pressure on my clutch pedal when the grinding comes on. I was told that it seems to be the master cylinder clutch because the last owner put a performance clutch but didnt change the master cylinder. I would appreciated some help or personal expirence, since this issues its driving me nuts, and its really unconformable driving like that in the city. also everytime I go over 3 thousand rpms and let the gas go I can hear like a rattling noise when it his 3k any thoughts?
Thanks

Could be a number of things but sounds like the clutch wasn't installed properly.
