High fuel pressure

High fuel pressure

so I just installed a new return fuel line to my ams fuel rail cuz it was leaking after I installed I saw my fuel pressure regulator gauge was excessive high now and a lot of white smoke coming out the exhaust
so what can be causing this? And how to fix this problem?

What fuel pump and wiring are you running? What is your base pressure, and did you adjust the regulator?

Just a 255 walbro pump and I was at oem pressure at 42 psi all I did is change the line that runs from the fuel rail cuz it was bad

What's the pressure now?

I wonder if something is stuck in the line...

White smoke is coolant though, so I wonder if that is another issue as to why you're burning coolant...

Nope - I would wager it is crimped and that white smoke may be (unburned) fuel...


Check your install again.

Check your install again.
Yea the car been sitting in my garage for like 3-4 days with the line off till yesterday when I installed it and saw my pressure gauge really high but I'm going to check the install today again after work

I agree with the smoke possibly being fuel, when it doesn't fully burn and a lot is being dumped it in fact it blows white ish smoke.

Make sure there isn't a bend somewere in the line.

Im guessing the car runs like crap now?
