Okay, I know this is probably a stupid question so bare with me here. I just got a cat back exhaust and some other simple bolt ons and am thinking of getting the AMS downpipe. My question is will this downpipe fit other turbo's exhausts down the road? In particular I'm looking at an EFR turbo. Just don't want to waste money on something I'll have to replace later on with a different downpipe. Thanks very much!

 

If you get a downpipe thats a regular flange yes it will fit all stock frame turbos, if you get a turbo. downpipe with Vband, then youll have to get the parts to match

 

The EFR is usually a v-band downpipe fitting.

 

Heads up - you don't 'need' a downpipe until you have a bigger turbo. Approach this car as a unique platform, not like a Subaru for instance. Best bang for your buck is a test pipe not a downpipe...

 

true! the stock downpipe on X Flows very well

 

It's not that it flows well, its more like it flows enough for the stock turbo. It's worth 5-10whp on the stock turbo. Whether its worth the cost it up to the owner.

 

Save it. You will buy "turbo kit" anyway, most of comes with downpipe.
