The dB measured with my iPhone in the VIII was around low 80s, the X is around the low 70s (using same app and speed on same road), and should be even quieter if I add some dynamat on the roof and doors.
Also going to add an intake cause I miss the intake noise. Sounds like a diesel stock

How do you guys drive and what is the terrain like? I push 270-290 miles a tank and fill-ups are usually 11.5 gallons.
Though I'll admit I don't get on it a lot and it's mostly flat in Florida.

I wilsh I could get that kind of milage. I get between 180-200 miles per tank and put between 13-14 gals in the tank.
To the OP. my car had a terrible drone on the highway. I swapped to this exhaust

no more drone. I don't need a loud exhaust and this fit the bill

Back when I cared. I kept track for two years of my mileage on my Evo 10.
This is 90% E85. The spikes are when I used 91.
Basically the car averaged 14.5 MPG over two years.
Also note the huge cliff it falls off at the beginning. The cliff was when I first bought the car and was breaking it in, generally driving it like a camry...
Then at 900 miles I tuned it on E85 and it made 100whp more than stock.

That's a pretty sweet graph. I'm addicted to the green and haven't finished (my fault) getting tuned so I probably drive more "grandpa'ish" than most. I do at least do the speed limit though.

4500 Mile Update
4500 miles now going strong. Wanting aftermarket seats a little more every day. Car performs, as always.
Finally putting in a cosworth air filter. Specialty X exhaust is now installed along with Rallyarmor mudflaps. Absolutely love the exhaust! It is unique and sounds great around town. Barely any drone on highway. Car is lookin' good and spool feels a bit quicker with high-flow cat and catback. Wheels are currently at port. I am still enjoying the stock height, may hold off on installing wheels for a while.

Glad you're enjoying it! For cheap minor power and a smoother power curve drop in a cosworth non oiled filter. Stock replacement size and no tune needed. Made a nice clean curve at the top for me while stock. I got mine at rallysportdirect I think? Honestly just do that and get an exhaust and call it a day lol. These cars get horrid gas mpg's when you start adding parts!
You're pretty close to wtftuned as well they are out of Utah when you step up to more power / a protune. Just kiss warranty goodbye!

I know the struggle. At the end of the day, warranty + resale value won out for me. I definitely wish the car had a bit more power and I'm confident it could be done reliably, but not worth the peace of mind for the time being.
