Exhaust change - impact to drivability

So I want to take the 3" exhaust I have been tuned for, off, and put the stock back on. What would that do to the drivability of the car and overall feel if it was tuned for a full 3" exhaust?

Thanks -

I doubt it will run right, but not 100%

My X was tuned for an aftermarket and returned to stock when I bought it, it ran alright out of boost, but def was overboosting and not driving right.
