So my car threw this code evap emissions leak detected so started with the obvious new gas cap cleared code no go it came back..
So I crawled under the car last night and found the hose on the charcoal canister was busted up pretty bad so my question is what kind of hose is this...
It's smaller diameter on each end then really big in the middle the middle part is where mine is all cracked at it looks like some sort of filter...
Inside of it anyone know if I can get just the hose or do I have to replace the full canister or can I just use any hose and forgo the inline filter thing ?

 

I would replace with OEM.
I suspect the thing in the middle may be a check valve.

 

See thatsvthe thing it's definitely some type of filter even looks like those old fuel pump paper filters.
Problem I can't find just the hose or what it's even called so o can order one and I'm not really keen on ordering a hole new charcoal canister for $170 for what looks like a hose with a filter built into it
