‘12 or ‘14 MR
Hey, all! First time poster long time lurker.
Been saving up for an Evo for the better part of a year and the time has finally come now that my birthday is here. As luck would have it, there are two Evos local to me for sale right now and I can’t decide on which one is my best bet. My options are:
A ‘12 with 9k miles. Dealer can’t say for sure but presumably this has never seen winter (see:salt). Everything stock. Has Fosgate.
A ‘14 with 46k Miles. Everything stock. Was a dd.
I dont plan to do a whole lot to it outside some bolt ons and such. Both are the same price more or less (within $1k).
I’m leaning heavily towards the ‘12 due to mileage and likely never having touched the car eating salt brine in the winter. But, there is a tick in the back of my mind that keeps saying “newer is better.”
I figured you guys would help steer me in the right direction. Thanks!

2012 for sure. 2014 has the "better" touchscreen radio but it's kind of a pile of garbage anyway.
If there is only 1k difference between something with 37,000 miles less, that is a no brainer.
How come the 2012 has such low miles?
