Hey, Welcome aboard

Heres a good thread that has many re-directs to specifics on the X

Have the EvO professionally inspected prior to purchase

Make sure the recalls are taken care of or are fixed with better after market solutions.
-Timing chain on the earlier models should be fixed with the stronger updated OEM timing chain
-The clutch master cylinder replaced with a stronger AMS, MAP, Magnus, or Evo 8/9 unit
-Plastic pulleys replaced with metal ones
-AYC Pump replaced
-Tuned by a tuner or ECM reprogrammed by dealer (if there are no mods)

These are just a few things to look for when buying the earlier models.
