Can 3M Scotchkote Urethane Coating help protect FRP and CF body parts from cracking?
I recently came across this on the 3M website:
http://solutions.3mcanada.ca/wps/por...be1NRGSHX9QHgl
There is also a video about it:
I think this is kind of like the urethane that many body shops employ to apply to the inside to protect aftermarket body part. A FRP side skirt wouldn't take much abuse, but anyone living in big cities know that parallel parking can be really harsh on the bumpers and that steep ramps is really harsh on front lips. Do we have anyone familiar with auto body care to chime in?
I'm considering using this if I were to get a Varis rear bumper someday. It would be heartbreaking to see careless drivers cracking a Varis bumper at parallel parking.
