Ash tray lid.

Hi. Does anyone know about adding one? I just have a big gaping hole there. I was hoping it was simply just buying that part, that is a drop in?

There should be a whole door to it, I bet you can find just the door and hinge and put it in there.

You mean like in the picture, right? Gotcha. Thanks. Mitsubishi dealer is a trip and a half for me.. just wanted to make sure it was something that could be fit to my car, and wasn't an entirely new console piece.

I don't remember anything there to put a door into. Like a hole for said hinge.

It looks like an entire unit that goes into that empty spot. If you look closely at the picture the hinge is attached to the bottom that looks totally separate from the rest of the console piece.

Looks like you'd want part 8040A026XA

https://www.oemmitsubishiparts.com/o...w0LWdhcw%3D%3D

#8, and maybe #7

But it's like $70. Personally I just keep stuff in there, like earplugs, or change.

Awesome diagram, thank you! Yeah I am starting to lean towards just using it as an open area as a top would probably make it useless for a nonsmoker.

Yeah microfiches you can find on parts sites are great. I use them to get actual names for parts when searching ebay, for example.
