Nothing working after battery replacement

I recently replaced my battery, and now I have no power in the car. I spot checked a few fuses under the hood and under the dash, which are good, but the lights (both interior and exterior), factory alarm system, ignition, etc. are all not working.

If there is a specific fuse or relay that should be checked, or something else that could cause this? Thanks

The battery is charged right? Polarity is correct? Is everything that you moved, tight?

Does anything work at all, or light up? There's not too many things that can cause this other than hooking up something wrong or using a dead battery.

There are 4 fusable links under the red jump terminal cover in the engine bay. If those are good, it's time to get a volt meter out!

Battery is charged, polarity is correct, power is going to the fuse boxes, but nothing works. Fusable link is all good.

A good example of the issue is the fuse is getting power for hazard lights, yet when I press the button, it does not turn on. Same goes for power locks.

Could you somehow fried your computer? I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how that could have happened just disconnecting and reconnecting a power source.

I initially blew the fusable link under the hood (working under the hood and a tool touched it and a ground at the same time), and without knowing that I blew it, I drove about 40 miles until the car died. When the car died, I was able to restart with a jumper-pack attached, so I thought either battery or alternator, but then i discovered the fusable link was blown. I've since replaced it and recharged the battery, and now I'm here.

Is there a relay which could be shot that would cause nothing electrical to work?

Have you double and triple checked all your fuses? Sounds like a main fuse went out.

I've checked most fuses, when you say a "main fuse" which specifically are you referring to?

Also, not sure if it's related to the cause of the issue (I think it's more of an effect), but the steering wheel and ignition is locked. I'm assuming whenever I resolve the issue and power is being sent to everything, the ignition will unlock which will cause the steering wheel to unlock.

Does anyone know if there is a main electrical relay somewhere in this car which could be preventing everything from working?

Well as far as the steering wheel locked.. Like every other car, you will have to move the steering wheel back and forth while turning the key to unlock the steering wheel and ignition.

I'm not sure about the fuse tho..

Found this on another forum from the UK. It was funny seeing them call "grounds", "earths". Never heard a ground called that.

Not turning over :
Clicking = flat batt
Click + lights dim = flat batt
Click = starter

Nothink lights stay bright:
Imoberlizer
Starter relay
Fuses
Anything eles = bad

Turn over not fire:
Fuel pump fuse / relay
Flooded if turns over smelling of fuel = turn over and don't stop !! Lisen to engine sound playing wid accerator
Turn over fast like electric motor STOP don't try turning over no more as cause more damage
Can be imoblized depends on car
Coil pack
fuel isolation switch = can trip anytime

I'm sure it has to be fuses or a relay, like the starter relay. You don't have an alarm that would immobilize the car do you?

No aftermarket electrical components on the car. Factory lights, audio, fast key...

Would a bad starter relay prevent everything electrical from working?

Have you tried putting a jump pack on under the hood? Just torule out a defective new battery?

There are the fusible links that I posed earlier and a handful of big fuses (40a-30a) in the under-hood fuse box on the left edge that feed other systems.

i don't know of a master power relay in our setup

I had the exact same issue on my DSM, and it turned out to be a fuse that at first glance was good, but turned out to be bad upon further inspection. I believe it was just called "Engine Fuse." Replaced it and fixed everything. Just take a closer look at all your fuses, I'd be willing to bet you're missing something, either a fuse or a relay.

Issue was resolved last night, but still don't know the cause. I basically pulled out every fuse and relay from under the hood, and put the same exact ones back in (did not replace), then there was power. It's pretty random...
