EVO X Front tubular Subframe + Manual Rack - Diamond Race

EVO X Community,

I am trying to find a good tubular subframe for our EVO X, and there are a couple out there already (links below). What I'm trying to do is convert mine to a Manual Steering rack with a lightweight tubular frame that will aid in the removal of the transmission for our pesky clutch jobs, and reduce weight by both the rack and subframe itself. I'm reaching out to find interest in this, as I've talked with a company in the US located in Ohio, Diamond Race Cars. They have helped the 8/9 community with these for over 5 years now and have had great success. Below is a forum link to an in-depth/pictures and description of what he did to his older EVO, and I'd like the same effect for our X's. I've contacted Dan (owner) and discussed liberally with him, and he stated he's spoken to about 2 dozen X owners about it as well.

Well, I'm ready to hit the punch card and need some other's interest. In order for it to be good business for him, he needs multiple cars involved to help this project and create the jigs required - at least 5. Dan also needs a donor car. I'm currently located in Colorado and mine is currently down due to rear-end replacement/transmission upgrade and I'm deploying to Iraq in the near future. He said it would take 4-5 weeks of creating it so around that timeframe for the donor car to be utilized, and you'll have a subframe for it after as well. Lastly a good faith deposit - he didn't specify but I'd be looking for a ~ 500$ (times 5 owners) deposit to send to him directly at the same time he receives the donor car and get this started.

I asked about pricing and realize this is an initial and current as of 5/18/20 ESTIMATE of ~1350$ for just the replacement subframe - powder coated ready to install. If interested in going manual steering rack - there are different options, and needs discussed with him. Basically he can acquire a lock to lock ~ 4.0 cast manual rack easier, mainly utilized for the drag racing community because they want stability, not tighter turns for ~ 1850$. For another company's rack - Billet and sleeker / lighter would be ~ 2000-2100$. I'm wanting one that has a tighter turn more in the 2.5-3.5 range, so he'll do some more research but needing feedback as well from the community wants. If converting to manual he needs the intermediate steering column (one that goes from inside our car to the rack and pinion) and adapts it to be completely bolt-on installation.

Really just need some feedback, I'm not very active here, but I will definitely be following. Please reach out to me if interested in an email or text, or I hope to catch the replies here as well.

I'm down for a rear subframe. Racefab increased their prices, just FYI.

That's something we can look into as well if we get a donor car, I only discussed the front with Dan currently though. It would be the same deal, need about 5 people interested in the rear to get that going as well. If I get the 5 for the front I can go for the rear as well myself.
