First of all, sorry because I know there are TONS of threads on this but they've all become so side tracked and confusing that I struggle to get the right info

So, I've swapped out my stock stock ralliart 08 ralliart seats for some recaro replica seats (they're ADR approved in aus) however they don't have airbags or OCM and have tripped the airbag dash light and codes.

My question is if I hook up resistors to get the airbag light to go off will my airbags still be ARMED AND WORKING or will this just turn the light off? And how can I trick the passenger OCM into arming the passenger airbags?

also sorry for posting in the Evo category, I just know more evos have dealt with this issue and are more switched on with this

 

You need to use ETACS decoder, and disable OCM, and the side airbags. You will also need to plug in resistors to the two airbag plugs to turn off the lights.
