If this is indeed the case when my HID lights come I should be able to install them and there should be no flickering correct? Also I didn't see an option to switch from halogen to HID in the etacs setttings. I looked through all of them. Any ideas?
Which line numbers are you looking at? There should be just one line that needs to be changed in ETACS decoder: Line 19 "DRL Type". If that one is set to 'DRL not present', then it means they have been disabled. The factory settings for HID's is, "Independant DRL with P".

ok ill check again after work but I'm 99% sure its set to DRL not present. If I set it to Independent DRL with P once the HID's are installed will the DRL's work and no flickering from the HID's?
Also I looked at my fuse box. If I want my DRL's to work once the HID's are installed I need to install a relay in the slot?

They should not flicker if you have the proper harness for the HIDs. If you're using the harness for the Halogens they will flicker. The fuse box should have a relay for the DRL's, if it's missing it needs to be replaced.

Ok, but if I keep the DRL's disabled and just install the projectors there should be no flickering correct?

Yes, they will not flicker with the DRL's disabled. The DRL's are the part that flicker with the incorrect harness.
