Boost leak Passenger side

Does anyone know of a common boost leak that sounds as if it’s leaking around the passenger side? I’ve tightened the upper intercooler piping and got no results.

Are you talking about when you do a boost leak test? Either PVC or oil line, either way, you are pressuring the crankcase when you are doing the boost leak test. Stop doing that.

No.. Whenever I hit around 15lbs of boost I hear a loud hissing sound.

Is it coming from the front of the car, the head, or the firewall?

Hard to tell, whenever I’m driving and hit 15 lbs of boost, I hear a hissing from what sounds like the left side of the engine (right while driving.) I have yet to do a boost test

If you can hear it while driving then it should be obvious when you perform the test.

I wouldn't drive it hard until you have the leak fixed. I am fairly sure a boost leak I was unaware of caused my last turbo to fail.

Just for when I get the test kit, What’s the best place to boot it up?

Most people connect at the turbo inlet.

My old tuner recommended connecting at the air filter but only going to 15psi. His theory was it would help you identify leaks around the maf. If you go with the air filter location, make sure to disconnect and plug the breather going to the valve cover or you will pressurize the crankcase.
