Wierd noise coming from behind the right front wheel/top right engine bay area
ok so this is the story
few days ago i ran over a nasty deep pothole with my front right drivers side tyre and the whole car hit the road floor. no noise nothing for 2 days later which i had a pre booked SST trans service at RP motorsports ( a well recommended EVO specialists in Sydney). when i went to pick up my car from the place the boss told me he hear a weird clanking/clicking metal noise coming from behind the front front drivers side wheel (RHD in Australia), around behind the accelerator and brake pedals top right engine bay area where the sway bar connects to the coil overs. for the whole day the noise kept coming randomly then go then come, usually makes a noise when i go over a bump or turn to the left towards the passenger side. then after that day the noise disappeared the whole weekend and only came like a few times very faint noise randomly car seems to be normal now
been to many mechanics and suspension/wheels specialist and I've had many reasons from wheel bearing damaged to CV joint damaged to need a rim to need a new transfer case. one mechanic check the wheel bearing said it was all good the coil over is all good no leak the brake discs and brake pads all good. the other suspension/wheel specialist mechanic had a look at everything said there's nothing wrong with the whole wheel area another mechanic said could be the CV joint or strut rod out of whack when they hoisted it up at the shop for SST service
the suss part is the noise wasn't there after I hit the pothole but came right after the car got services which has just confuse the hell out of me.
im leaning towards the differential got damaged from the pothole. please could someone shed some light on my situation and help me. feel like ive been all around the city trying to find whats wrong
My car is 2009 EVO X MR with BC racing coil overs factory Brembo brakes and discs aftermarket Wedssport rims and have been offsetted
