2008 Evo X GSR. ASC and loss of cruise control

I'm having an issue that been running on for awhile now. I get a code after a few when driving to ASC is off and it will also tell me service required. I have taken it in and they charged me $149 diag fee only... but they tried changing out my brake light switch and that failed to fix the problem. I was told to take out my aftermarket radio and that may fix it because of a possible problem in the wiring. That did not fix it, they gave me a diagram and said they traced it to splice joint S047 and that the problem lies there and kinda just handed me my keys back and wished me luck on it. Not a clue what to do with that... also I lost my cruise control while all of this is popping up as well, any thoughts? Please help.
