Question Stock Turbo and Downpipe?

My plan was to do full turbo-back exhaust, and right now I have everything except downpipe (Im planning on getting the AMS widemouth.) I've held off because a fair amount of people have said that the power gains you will get with stock turbo are negligible. Do you guys think its worth it with stock turbo? Id be happy with even just like +5 hp, and a better exhaust note.

-Thanks

I used to be a strong believer that the stock downpipe is enough for the stock turbo - but a few friends have changed my mind after being FBO with stock downpipe/tune to FBO with a full 3" aftermarket downpipe and tune - the cars do pick up more power. On the dyno and at the track.

Realistically the bottom half of the downpipe that's 2.5" isn't an issue. It's the OEM cast bellmouth immediately after the turbo that I think causes the restriction and turbulence. However basically all good aftermarket full downpipes remedy this.

I say if you have the funds and time, do it
