hey guys..maybe you can try this on the evo x...mount it under the bumper and pull it out..it will look alot better than drilling the front of the bumper

Thats really cool. Hopefully the dealer doesnt drill my bumper so I can get something like that. Look good for shows and pics and keep the cops at bay!

Towards the top it says $60. Not too bad for a hide away plate I guess.

i tink that $60 is a great deal considering that painting a bumper with some holes will be $300 plus

I bought one of the cheap autozone universal lic plate and zipped tied it with 2 long zip tie end to end. very easy to get it behind the molding. very snug. over the front bumper. fit perfect in size only blocks a couple on inches on the bumper holes. seems so far to be the best location, looks good in the center rather than to one side.. mounts flush,
I did this. Thx for the tip. I like it. Looks good centered.

I might install some sort of quick connect thing in the bumper that doesnt look to bad so I can take it on and off in a hurry

use the factory Mouunt but double stick tape it, or get sticky tape velco and velcro it on. keep it on the drivers side though as your oil cooler is on the passenger side

I just created a How-to Guide for installing a mounting bracket to the bumper with tie straps. Go check it out.

Anyone try this yet? It looks good, but I'm hoping it's as effective as it seems. I might just go for it and I'll let you know how it works out.

Aww man, I'd have to get that thing motorized. So I can roll with the plate hiddin and when I get pulled over, just flip a switch and the plate is on.

Where the hell are you going to install that on the Evo X. If you put it under the lip it's going to get teared up in the winter and if your car is lowered already your even more screwed with the possibility that after a speed bump your license plate will break away.
