It will only last a week or two depending on your weather and options (alarm). I have been through 2 of these already. The AMS provided battery only lasted me 9 months and would only hold a charge for 3-4 days. I got the Odyssey red battery and all is fine so far, it will still only last about 10-15 days sitting in my garage, so I keep a Battery Tender on it now.

Finally found the photos, I added a Battery Tender connection to my small battery kit and I plug it in when I anticipate not driving the car. Very simple and cheap solution. The problem with the small batteries is they usually only have ~500 or so deep discharges in their life. So letting the drain fully, which happens quickly, will reduce the lifespan of the battery.

i dryed mine in one year, it's a nice mod, you kind of feel the diference. specially when you go back to a regular 30 pounds batery, then you defenetly feel the car heavier. unfurtunally i started adding gadgeds to my car, like gauges, gear shift monitors, etc and had to come back to a regular batery, racing bateries wont hold all that *^*&*& sucking juice

Was thinking about getting either this battery kit or the similar STM one..
I know these aren't really good enough for power-hungry stereo builds, but does anyone know if it could handle a modest system?
I was thinking something like the Alpine double-din nav w/45RMSx4 power pack, running their new lightweight neodymium/plastic type-r comps & coax's.. and then the neo type-r 10" sub fiberglassed into the wheel well, running off the 600RMS PDX amp.
Or would that be more of an alternator issue, since I wouldn't be listening with the car off?
