Question How to install a downpipe or TBE??

HI guys, Iam planning of installing my TBE exhaust soon. Now does anyone here has done it themselves that has pics or step by step?

If you have a step by step or "how to" kindly share it please.

I can probably figure out myself from Catback to the muffler but I would definitely need help installing from the downpipe, a few tips and pics would help.

Thanks a bunch!

Im about to do the downpipe and cat this weekend after doing the catback this past weekend.

To prepare for the downpipe install I was told i would need PB Blaster for the 02 sensors and bolts and a long extension and a swivel to reach up to the two bolts holding the downpipe to the 02 housing. I looked up there, and there is NOT a lot of room to work with up there so I would definitely recommend the right tools.

I was thinking of doing just the catback for now, but I will be doing it on my friends shop so he has the right tools for that, and I might as well get everything done while the car is up the hoist, just want to have a general idea what Iam against with. LOL..

If you get to install it before I do, please take some pics. I might install them this weekend too depending on the weather if it snows or not. But if I get it done before u I will post some pics for sure, to help others..

Goodluck and keep me posted!!

downpipe is easy. Two spring loaded bolts. Just use a long extension and a wobble.

O2 housing is a royal ***** unless you're GURU.

LOL. Yeah I think I was the only one who though the O2 housing wasn't that bad at all. Of course you do need a few different tools. Pry bars and the mini racheting wrenches helped me in getting the hidden nut off. Now taking the turbo off, THAT is hard! I pity anyone trying that one.

I did because I got an FP Red upgrade. Normally you do not need to take off turbo.

It is easy, but getting to those bolts are a pain! I ended taking the Cat along with the downpipe. that just made it easier for me. Taking down the Cat made room for the install and made it a lot easier. This was no fun.

btw, i ended up using a 20" extension bar, and a wobble. Did i say it was a PITA?
