Question CF Evo X hood question

Just got mine from Jeff (jd888jd). Great guy even helped deliever it and install it at 9pm at night. Has one left if anyone is looking.

I know the hood scopes serves a purpose for Exo's and RA, but does it help a non-turbo lancer?
The cool air is forced behind the exhaust manifold which could be a plus for aftermarket headers (maybe stock).

Should it be closed to prevent garbage/water from getting into the top of the engine bay.

I've driven around with the scoop open for a few weeks. Didn't notice any water or dust accumulating inside so I think it's fine. Even washed the car and it was fine

greedy i'd recommend you, seal those holes, since your not running a turbo, that just allows air to enter ur engine bay and ram up against the back portion of the car, which basically is like a wall, creating drag, and yea it drag garbage in too, in the winter, here comes the salt and snow =D

^ Have my other hood for winter . Its only one hole located in the center, so not alot of air enters compared to the others. The others have FG plates that fit on the underside.

The main thing is the water.

You should be fine, you don't here Evo owners complaining about crap piling up in their engine bays.

^lol well I don't think it has any real benefit. At least I haven't felt any drag from having the scoop open vs not open. The most benefit is just the weight of it.
