btw OP the piller looks good, I would suggest running some bondo over the rest of the pillaras there is a clear transition that shows through the paint (that will soften the transition) and make the pillar much better. its a great first effort though.

That example, plus when I ran the line for my Escort, debunked those myths. I am quite confident that if my airbag ever deploys it will be the sudden stop that kills me not the a-pillar or any of the gauges I have on it.

I think it would look really good in black BUT youd have to paint all 6 pillars lol and no one likes sanding.

Burned out on sanding this weekend. Probably will do a test fit and if it just doesn't look just right, then I'm sanding. I have the black paint in the garage!

I just bought all the stuff to do this BUT I am going to be glassing mine in. I got EVERCOAT duraglass and fiberglass to do mine. I will post when I start mine later this week.

As rough as I was holding the pods and sides of the pillar, while endlessly sanding, its not coming off. As I stated before, not much flexing goes on in this area. But would like to see a step by step of the glass project. Might tackle a sub box using glass.

curtain airbags deployed in my civic si. A/F flew across the car so hard it starred the passenger window. Do you think that the a-pillar splits the exact same way in every vehicle? Troll.

Carry your off-topic argument with Talon66 to PM. But I will answer your question. The a-pillars are teathered to the frame with a THICK plastic strap. If you have not took off the a-pillar, its anchored pretty good. A-pillar is not coming off. So if the gauges are properly seated, they will not fly anywhere.
