Bov intallation problems

I'm new member and a proud owner of a 2010 evo. I love it. I went to my local motorsports shop and asked about a bov for my evo. They ordered it and it was a Greddy type r. Long story short. I have been there 2 times now because the adaptor that they ordered was the wrong one. I guess they say that the adaptor will go into the intake? But i want to order the correct part and take it down there to them to install. Thanks.

why do a bov? its a waste. unless you want the noise. stock one holds good. my stock one on my old IX (same as X)held 29 psi all day long after crushing it.

Seriously, to the OP, dont buy a blow off valve untill you get a cone filter, you will get that sound your looking for without the BOV and the stocker works wonders as is.

+1 on a good cone filter. I've heard some dealers will use a cone filter as a primary reason to kill the warranty; not that it is hard to remove or fight the dealer about. Does the X have any issues with cone filters? I know some cars (I think mostly VIIIs) had stall issues due to the piping?

Yeah...if you want the sound go with an intake. I actually just went back to the stock setup because the sound was driving me nuts. Every time I'd spool the turbo it sounded like a rush of air in the cabin. Granted hearing the BOV go off was nice but constant sound of rushing air drove me nuts. I still have the injen intake...I'll sell it cheap if you want it.
