migs i put mine on ealier this night, the only problem i had was the front bracket mount/shield didn't lay exactly flat against the metal. i saw in your pictures you had the exact same problem. i guess an easy solution for that is just bend the metal down more, but i couldn't do it with mine since it was powdercoated.

also, on your '08 MR when you had it, which FMIC did you get from ETS? i see they offer them in several different thicknesses.

As long as that bracket is tight, you'll be fine. I think it has to do more with where the couplers line up than anything. Perhaps we put ours in too deep so the intake was too short for their calculated bend on the bracket. No big deal though.

I had 3.5" on my MR.

I tried fitting the intake tube in several places to accommodate for the shield, but no angle worked with the default angle of the shield. I bent mine an additional 15 degrees, I would guess. No big deal. I did have to make a run to Autozone to pick up a hose clamp for that PCV line/elbow connection. The stock clamp was not firm enough to seal the connection, and my ECU threw a code. Hose clamp on, reset ECU, was good to go.

can someone explain ''You can vent the line that would normally goes to the intake from the solenoid and this will have no ill effect on the car or loss in performance.'' does it mean i can just let the line hang? sorry for the large pic. I couldnt put it any smaller

MMM something's not right. I have a way to insert that boost solenoid line behind my oil return line. You sure this is an ETS intake?

yes it is but i found more info on this, it seems that there were 2 options for ets intake which is 1 or 2 bungs. Some people like to have 2 bungs which is a basic plug in play, the other is a single bung ( the one i have in pic ). The single bung is only to insert rubber tube into side of spark plug cover, now the bcs just hangs loose, not needed for single bung. The bcs pulls air from intake.
