Help! Fuel pump install

I am installing my Aeromotive fuel pump and the clear fuel line that they supplied split in half when I went to push it on the fuel pump. what can I do?

go to autozone and buy more? Shouldn't be more than a few bucks. Or you can cut off the split and split on the connector.

Did you have to buy a fuel pump kit to install the pump?

Yes, if he's doing it right.

OP - Go to an auto parts store and buy some submersible high pressure fuel line. It's spendy, but it's one of the few hoses that won't fail with extended use. It's far better than the clear/white plastic flexy straw hose that some kits include.

you have to have a install kit also.
the ones ive installed have a big aluminum collar that goes around the walbro pump. to take up the slack from oem bracket.
