Evo x front emblem removal?

I was curious as to how to completely remove my front emblem from the grill and whether or not there is a way to get the whole piece off or would I have to cut it from the front bumper?

I want to take that whole intert off but Id say the best way to remove the actual emblem from there is to use WAX dental floss and just take it slow

would probably be a little harder. theres actually two pieces that get cut off. the actual mitsu badge and then the mounting "bracket" behind it. easiest way to do it is to take the bumper off and do it. besides after you cut it, unless you want one huge whole and one small one up top you should fill and paint it

i know after you take the actual emblem off there is a piece that is connected to that center piece. ive taken the emblem off to plasti dip it black already. but i was just thinking if it could just cut going across underneath that, if thats the bracket you were talking about. would there be anything behind the bracket holding it to the mesh there or whatever it is there, i cant remember.

also thanks for the reply!

Use a hair dryer as well. Makes it a whole lot easier.

theres no mesh grill or anything behind that bracket. the mesh grill is held on by a bunch of little silver retainers that are mounted onto the actual middle grill piece. if you want a pic of what it looks like after being cut off pm me and ill look for an old pic.

Seibon makes a carbon fiber piece with or without the mitsubishi badge, but be aware it is NOT a true oem fit. It's a pita and does not come pre-drilled. Most sites have it for about $250, got mine for $195 with shipping.. Big regret
