DVD in Motion Update 2012 MMCS
Thank you for the fast reply OtakuTTA and for the replies to my questions/comments.
Would having access to an MMCS service manual (not the instruction/user manual) provide any assistance in your work? I would guess not, but just thought I'd ask. The best I could find was the 2010 Evo X service manual. I included screenshots of the different sections found in the index in regards to MMCS. Since it is a 2010 though, it doesn't include things like the USB port, Fuse, Bluetooth streaming, etc.
---
I figured I'd share a few other things to other readers of this thread in regards to topics being discussed.
During my research of Lancer vehicles last year, I believe the following are the revisions/changes made from 2008-2010 models to 2011-2013 (present) models. Please note these are for North American, United States models. I may be incorrect on some, if so, please let me know and I will edit as necessary.
- MMCS HDD upgraded from 30 GB to 40 GB
- Ability to stream audio over Bluetooth (with or without MMCS)
- Free Real Time Traffic (RTT) over FM on MMCS
- USB port added in glove box or center arm rest console (based on vehicle model and trim level) to play music (MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV files) on vehicles with and without MMCS
- Mitsubishi Fuse system (http://www.mitsubishifuse.com/nav_choose.taf) added which allows the driver to control audio selection based on what is plugged into the USB port (flash drive or iPod). Driver can select music by artist, album, genre, or playlist by voice commands on vehicles with and without MMCS. It also allows you to import phone books and you can place calls by a person's contact name. (Fuse voice prompts/commands http://www.mitsubishifuse.com/images/Fuse_VoiceTree.pdf)
- With the addition of the USB port/Fuse system, it appears that some firmware/hardware/software updates can be performed over the USB port instead of doing it via optical disc. I know it is possible to update the Gracenote Database and Fuse software via a USB drive.

The information below is for anyone interested in adding the auxiliary video in to their MMCS equipped vehicles
If anyone is interested in adding the auxiliary video input port to their vehicle, I purchased my adapter from here: http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/catalog/?section=616 The OEM part number is 8750A145
Another user, wrote up how to install the video aux in box here: http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/sho...t=31599&page=3 Scroll down and looks for Janus Prospero.

Even though it was stated that anyone running NR261UM or a like-type should be able to upgrade to the latest app version without issues from an older app version, if multiple people were experiencing this after updating from an older app version, my guess would be it has something to do with the change in how Bluetooth functions over the years. I believe from 2011 (2010 on the Outlander model) to the present, Bluetooth uses the Fuse hands-free link system where from 2008-2010 it used a Bluetooth hands free system without Fuse.
Here is the page for Mitsubishi Bluetooth Hands-Free system for 2008-2010 models: http://www.mitsubishicars.com/MMNA/b...epage/hfl.html
Here is the page for Mitsubishi Fuse Hands-Free link system for 2011 (2010-present for Outlander)-present models with MMCS: http://www.mitsubishifuse.com/mobile_phones.taf?n=1
Here is the page for Mitsubishi Fuse Hands-Free link system for 2011 (2010-present for Outlander)-present models without MMCS: http://www.mitsubishifuse.com/mobile_phones.taf?n=0
It appears that the following models don't use the Fuse system at all, but the original Bluetooth connection (even on current year models): Eclipse, Eclipse Spyder, Endeavor, and Galant
For the following models 2011-present (2010-present for Outlander), they all appear to use the Fuse system. Prior to 2011, they also used the other Bluetooth connection: Lancer, Lancer Evolution, Lancer Sportback, Outlander, and Outlander Sport
Both the Fuse Handsfree Link System (OEM part number MZ314502) and original Bluetooth Hands Free Phone Kit (OEM part number MZ313819) can be found here: http://www.mitsubishiparts.net/catalog/?section=949
I'm not sure if you can (or have tried) downgrading back to 00.30.99 from the link on http://www.navhack.org/ If you were able to do so, perhaps Bluetooth connectivity would be restored and you'd still have the DVD-in-motion capability. You may even be able to downgrade to a slightly higher version than 00.30.99, but I'm not certain at what point (what app version) started incorporating the Fuse system.

Hey, andpic what year your Evo? mine is 2008 MR.....got it the first year Evo X came out and Gozen..........thanks for the help but I'm taking it to dealer first before I downgrade.......because 00.70.04 have added new features to my Navi and don't want to lose it..........I just have to play stupid with service guy
PM sent with link.
I also wanted to let everyone know I bought the download link for 00.70.04 in addition to also donating. I also just got the chance to install and test the DVD-in-motion in my 2011 Evo MR which was already running app version 00.70.04. I had my MMCS installed at the dealership after I got the car, so I believe my MMCS unit was a 2012 model. DVD-in-motion installed successfully and works great! Thank you Otaku! Keep up the great work!

atb.
I'm about to gut the S&S package in my 08 GTS if you'd be interested in acquiring that one. Granted its not new, but after reading this thread there's obviously differences between it and newer models so maybe it'd help you out.
Anyone here have any idea how much the above would be worth ?
The ones I've found online used are going for around $1000 -$1400 USD. For what you're going to do with it to help these guys out, plus you've helped me out with this DVD in motion upgrade, I'd sell it for, at most, half (of the $1400, that is). Give me a fair offer.
