im fairly sure its more about the fact i have latest maps then the firmware for the dvd. I bet the norm mitsu disc upgrade would add it.

 

perhaps it is a physical change in the hardware? I think it uses FM info to get this info...

 

I agree...if you go in to the settings of the nav you can change the FM frequency of the traffic reports

 

My 2009 RA didn't come with real time traffic functionality. I have always thought it was new hardware feature of the unit.

 

I do a lot of Pandora via bluetooth over my phone to the MMCS. Is there anyway to get artist/song info to display on the MMCS screen? I would definitely pay for that on the next update.

Its internet radio...an app on his phone...what hes asking would require a full rebuild of the app on his phone as well as the rds system in the navi

The codecs installed do support MP3, as does the DSP, but it may be disabled.

The stock nav program supports TMC, judging by the code..
The latest maps may supply the data though..

i would love to be able to import mp3's instead of rip'n the disc. Almost all my music is mp3 at this point anyways. Also Pandora post early would need to be a rework of the app nothing on the nav. I use Rhapsody and it passes the info to the display just fine.
