Noob battery question

Hey guys
I haven't drove my X in a bout a month and now the battery is completely dead. Now I was changing it today and didn't notice a vac hose connected to the battery. As I pulled it , thing came off the car but not in the battery. Now the noob question is, do you guys know or have a pic where this hose is connected or from. Or do I really need it.

Thanks

you mean the open ended looking vacuum thing that connects to the washer tank? it stays open

it only looks like something fell off, but it's just so air can go into the system as washer volume decreases when you spray. That way it doesn't implode the pump.

though I really wanted to tell you that you have to get a battery vacuum connector from the dealer

probably coulda just recharged the batter too, but its all good

It's a breather hose on the battery to exhaust gasses.
