This is what I ordered
- ETS Test Pipe Upgrade 2008-2012
- ETS V2 Regular Catback Exhaust

Its coming to my front door tomorrow and I don't feel like paying the extra $$$ to get someone else to install it. If anyone has any tips on what I should know before I do it, it would help a lot. Example; jack points/jack stands, tools,etc. This is my first install on anything lol. Also is there anything I should be worried about with the O2 censor when installing the test pipe and when you get the products do they come with instructions?

I know im kinda asking a lot but anything will help. Thanks

 

Just a piece of advice , if you have never done an exhaust its not that simple.

Most people that do exhausts have lift & proper tools.
If you snap an 02 sensor, you'll wish you just paid to have it done.

If you have done this before, I'd tell you go for it.
With no experience, you may cause more a problem.

It's a bolt on most shops are an hr or 2 for labor.
Exhaust swap is not a novice job.

 

I have done the exhaust modifications to every one of my vehicles. I wouldn't worry about anything. Couple of tips: Get the car as high as possible, make sure you have the correct socket for the O2 sensor and it won't brake, PB Blaster (in case some nuts are rusted), also a buddy may be helpful just to hold the exhaust while you work the hangers loose. Other than that, just your basic tools. But I would say go for it, I really don't think you will have any issues.

 

Pretty much what TZimme said, it's not that bad, you just need the right tools. It's just a few bolts, and stuff hanging on rubber hangers.

The bolts are probably rusted/siezed like crazy, so be aware you might need a cheater bar to get them off.

Getting leverage is also pretty tough in the limited space under the car if you're doing it on jack stands (it's a million times easier on a lift). If you only have jacks, get the car as high as you can.

You might also want to get a tool to get the rubber hangers off the muffler.

I also found it easier to do the catback with the rear lifted on jack stands, and removing the cat with the front lifted.

 

When you put it back together, make sure to use antisieze, even on the O2 sensor threads. This will be a life saver if you ever need to take it back apart.

 

I have the same V2 catback and was able to install it pretty easily. Never did an exhaust before and only used some jack stands and basic tools. I don't know about the test pipe though. Like the above guy said if you snap a o2 sensor then that would be scary

 

It's all plug and play. The o2 sensors are nothing to worry about, just get an o2 socket.
