Newbee need help on DIY 30K maintenance
Hey Guys, i've been reading around for a while. learned a lot from here! awesome forum!
Now 30K service is coming soon, I'm planing to exercise a little bit and try to do as much as i can to avoid crazy charges from stupid dealer.
background: haven't ever changed oil in my life. but its time to start doing it!
i learned that i can do following:
engine oil & filter / air cleaner filter / cabin air filter
im not sure if i can do : transmission / transfer case/ differential/ axle/ coolant/ belt
and i don't have a workshop! so no lift, don't even have jack stand yet. start from 0.
any suggestions from pro are highly appreciated!
BTW, not really heavy use except once a month go for a track run.

Well, an oil change is a good place to start. It's very easy. And changing transmission oil is also just as easy. Just drain and fill.
I would suggest you get the tools you need, including a torque wrench and maybe a set of ramps, or jack and Jack stands.
And then, refer to the 'how to' section of this forum. Lot of info there on how to do maintenance.
And best of all, no exercise required at all! Unless you're really weak.
