I mentioned the 275s out of the fact that I found a source of used, heat cycled R-comps, and the choice was 245-40 or 275-35 that would fit our cars... I'm not totally away from stock size. It depends on wheels I get for racing purposes as well as some thoughts about TT class I might go into. Knowing that the 265 is sweetness, the 275 will be fine, so I'll begin my hunt more serious now for them rims. Damn sweet indeed.

But hey, us SoCal boys don't necessarily live in one of the largest Evo scenes in the country do we?
Oh wait, we do.

To each his own, but there's gotta be a reason the cars voted "best" on this site and many others, including the ones that make magazine covers DON'T have blacked out tails and headlights.

And as I said I agree but sportback taillight are not attractive and look better tinted no matter what you say. And also I said i would get euro style tails if they become available. And of course magazines dont use cars with tinted tails. It illegal. Duh. You Socal boys might have a large Evo scene but you sure dont have a large intelligent scene at all. Dumb surfers.

Omg car magazines don't showcase illegal mods on cars? Um, your dumb is showing.
A Texas drawl will outdumb a Surfer Dude all day man. Keep convincing yourself that your tinted tails look "sick". The guy in the lowered Tercel next to you sure does agree.
See any tinted tails on these cars? And believe me, most people on here would say they look way better than what you did to yours.
(Non-SoCal cars highlighted because of great taste)

And just for comparison, here's one with tinted lights that managed to sneak its way into a magazine. Some people would say nice car and others would puke.

I know what my car looks like. Not every taillight tint has to be so dark. I do not like RA taillights and the OEM ones are a bit too pink and bright. A 50% tint or maybe 60% should do the job.
That picture has been edited too, so the real color of the taillights is much brighter than that.
