So every evo within 100 miles of me was sold with the factory aero kit. And im kind of getting bord of it.

Has any removed it? if so, does it leave any holes or marks that cannot be removed?

 

I'd also like to know...I want to remove mine and winter is coming up it'd be nice to take the lip off but I figured there would be holes in the lower black piece on the front bumper.

 

what's up with taking it off...In my opinion the aero kit looks badass...

 

yeah bro, at first i didnt even know what the aero kit was gonna look like, but when i saw it for the first time it didnt even grow on me, i just like it so much and decided to pay for it, i know i dont wanna buy a body kit o nmy on prolly ever again cuz i have the sniper kit on my 92 eg hatch, i love i but it all tore up knwo and i have to get it fixed up, but the evo aero kit is bad *** just keep it on, but i feel u when u say all others have the kit as well, unlike where i live i have only seen abotu 4 evo x since last year so im good when i get mine in november

every EVO X within the state of VA was sold with the aero kit. the dealers all sold them with the kit and didnt leave it as an option. my dealer ordered 15 EVO X's all with the aero kit.

Id rather not have it and be the only one around without it.
Plus: i could alwayse re install it if i dont sell it.

also, alot of aftermarker fiber add on are coming out that look bad *** and are made for the evo w/o the aero kit.

Negative. My dealer here (Roanoke) only has 2 out fo 10 with the Aero kit, one sold and the other got mutilated to an extreme being test driven by a 19 yr old. I don't think the aero will have any holes in the bumper. Especially since its an option item, i doubt the dealer/port would drill it to install seeing as a buyer may want it removed. To my knowledge it slides over and clips in along the bottom on sides. But my knowledge is very limited on it since mine doesnt have it. It will probably have some abrasion marks that you could rub out without much effort once removed.

I am interested too... I was thinking about doing a cf lip up front and would replace my stock aero kit with it.

 

Removing the aero kit front lip leaves a void in the front of the car. It does not simply slide over the non aero kit parts. You will have missing portions of your front bumper if you take it off.

I have the carbon front lip from seibon and it replaces the stock front lip. Here is a thread with pics.
