Change badge color

just got my WW evo. I want to paint the badge, what do you guys think of
1. a matte black badge in front and red one at back?
2. just red badge in front (no badges at back)?
I will remove the "Mitsubishi" and "Lancer Evolution" for both of them. any other opinion? Thanks

you should look around the picture threads. Alot of people have already done it. Do whatever you think looks good, its your car.

I'm thinking the matte black would look nice with WW. However you should do whatever you want, it's your car and only you know what makes you happy.

Thanks for the post, guys. I debaged the back, too. just leave the logo. Haven't decided debaged it or not. I am planning to paint the front badge Flat Black, but I found it is hard to take off by using the same way(fishing line, goo gone and dryer..)

Anyone knows how to debage the front logo? Thanks~

Don't like Red badges on an Evo at all, matt black or none at all

I put vinyl on my front and rear logos in case I wanted to easily change it. I wanted to debadge the mitsu lancer words but wasn't sure what they were held on with and how to remove em without scratchin the paint?

Use a heat gun and waxed dental floss to remove the badges. The heat gun will loosen the glue and then carefully take the dental floss and work it in-between the badge and the car and viola it should come off without scratches. Use low settings with the heat gun (or blow dryer).

I just debaged the mitsu lancer evo words last night. It is really simple. I bought a box of fishing line, goo gone and a dryer.

1. User dryer to heat the badge(not sure if this is necessary) about 3-4 mins
2. spay some goo gone to the badge, I recommend you to spay on top of the badge, so the liquid could soft the glue from top to bottom. I did 3 times for each badge.
3. Use the fishing line to "saw" the badge, don't afraid this would demage the paint. It won't at all. After your take it off, you will see some glue left on the car, so the fishing line only scratch the glue, not the car
4. Use your finger or paper, to clean the left glue and get a car wash and wax. It will look like those badges never be there.
