Rear Diffuser Scratch Repair

Hi all. So about a week after I waxed my car I noticed I wasn't very careful and got some wax on some of the black plastic trim, the rear diffuser, the hood vents, etc. I was told some dishsoap and a little scrubbing with a toothbrush would take care of it. So I went home, kind of in a rush I found what I thought was a soft bristled scrub brush and gave the car a once over. Looked good, so I went inside for the night. Next morning, I notice these tiny little white hairline scratches wherever I scrubbed. Not too noticeable unless you're up close but I'd like to have them taken care of. Anyone know of something that can get rid of these? I see a number of dyes or silicone based products that "restore" plastics but I'm not too sure which I should use if any. The scratches arte too light to actually feel but in direct sunlight they're easy to see if you're looking for them.

Thanks for any help.

rubbing compound or any buffer will take it out with ease.

Thanks for the info...can you recommend a specific product? I'm more a mechanics kinda guy, not really too good with the whole clean and polish end of things. Thanks again.

oh wait, you're talking about the plastic diffuser. in that case, use mother's back to black. it does wonders for plastics.

have the same problem, but with the plastic driver's side interior door handle. there's scratches all over the place that i suspect is from when i took it into the dealer...because i don't wear jewelry on my hand and no one else drives my car.

i tried using armour all plastic shield spray thingy that i use on my dash, but the scratches do not go away
