I hate to sound contradictory, but please, keep a cool head if you decide to talk to red grand am person.

Call the cops first, insurance etc, and tell them you 'think' it might be that car. Again, it makes me sick that happened to your nice car, but some things can really make a horrible situation turn even worse.

I was Laughing so hard when I read that. Cops came out and arrested the guy for a hit and run. He admitted to doing it, only after I had the cop there and showed him how the paint was fresh. He said he backed up into my car and was going to tell me but just hadn't gotten around to it. After I heard him say that, I told the cop i wanted to press charges for the hit and run. The cop happily aggreed and cuffed him right there. His insurance company will pay for everthing. I really got lucky in finding this guy. here are the pics of his car.

This happend off post, a civillian did it and he admitted to do it after I questioned him pretty hard and showed him how it paint matched perfectly with the paint on my car. Af first the cop didn't think he did it and was supprised to see him admit to it after I questioned him. Lucky for me, the guy actualy had insurance on the car. This is one situation where the bad guy was caught and I get to breathe a sigh of relief. Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement.

glad everything worked out in your favor. usually in situations like this i'ts he-said, she-said and cops will not take sides unless someone admits fault.

so you would let someone hit your car and get away with it???

You cant let some get away with things like that, this will teach him a lesson 2 leave a note. Without this lesson, he would just do it all over again.

oh wow, yeah same thing happened to my car but it was my fender, i know who did it, i asked the lady if it was her, she got all jumpy and ****, i coulnt deal with with her, and i decided to let it go, its not bad, could be worse and front fenders are pretty cheap, so i told her next time she hits my car i will take my wrench and beat the **** out of her car...now she parks far far away in the corner lol.

I take offense to that. I used to own a 91 GA and didn't have any incidents within 2 years of owning it.Maybe Chicago drivers just can't drive for sh*t?
